         Spring and Summer Safety Tips
  • To stop dehydration, water is your best drink of choice.
  • Use high SPF sunscreen to protect against sunburn.
  • Limit physical activity during the hottest peak hours of the day to reduce risk of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
  • Know the signs and symptoms of heat overexposure, and what you can do to help.
  • Protect against mosquito and tick bites with proper clothing and repelants
  • Never swim alone; swim with lifeguards present. Wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket appropriate for your weight and size and the water activity. Always wear a life jacket while boating, regardless of swimming skill. Swim sober.
